Danmachi: Why I think Bell Cranel has divine powers


Bell Cranel, now known as the grandson of Zeus, as per Hermes said in the anime. Although the manga/light novel has already confirmed that Bell is not Zeus' flesh and blood, I believe the that in the anime, the creators made a small tweak, such that now Bell is Zeus' direct descendant.

Why I believe it to be so?

Here are the main reasons:

1. Bell's Limit Off

Bell's limit off during the final episode in the anime is very similar to when Hestia releases her divine powers. Hestia herself was shocked and KNEW what Bell was undergoing, which boosted my imagination to come to a conclusion that Bell's limit off is actually him removing his limit on his divine powers. Of course this cannot be confirmed yet until the second season which is upcoming in this summer soon.



2. Zeus raised Bell himself

Even though Zeus had his own familia, he himself raised Bell to what he is now. This led me to believe that even though Bell may not be his direct bloodline, Zeus blessed him with a great portion of his own powers, or transmuted his own blood onto him. The Argonaut skill, which came to be because of Bell's longing to be a hero, can be suspected as Bell's own divine powers. Why? Because no one has this kind of skill before, and considering how huge the world is, there must be someone out there who yearns to be a hero as well but have no "Argonaut" skill added to them.

    Ok, the argonaut ability derived from the hero "Argonaut" so really there was another person who had the ability but he is dead now. Also if you play the game Danmachi memoria freese (which is made by the people who make the anime and overlooked by Fujino Ōmori, thus making anything in the game, canon to the anime and sometimes even the light novel) the "Argonaut" looks so similar to Bell there's no way it's a coincidence. I think that Bell and the Argonaut are related and the reason Zues took care of Bell was because "Argonaut" was in the Zues familia when they attempted to beat the One Eyed Black Dragon and "Argonaut" ended up dying alongside the rest of the familia. "Argonaut" probably made Zues promise he'd take care of Bell for him.
